Chipotle

Finally the time had come, my friend and I had been wanting to go to Chipotle since the beginning of the year.  This Saturday we were able to catch the bus and head to Chipotle for dinner.  When we arrived, I could smell the food from outside; it was pleasant.  As I skimmed the menu, I immediately knew what I wanted to order. I decided to order the chicken bowl.  So, the employee got a bowl and asked me if I would like white rice or brown rice. I ordered the white rice and as I went down the different options, I told her what to put in the bowl.  My chicken bowl consisted of black beans, cheese, salsa, lettuce, sour cream and corn. Also, I order a flour tortilla on the side.  Once my friend was finished ordering her chicken burrito, we got a table and ate there.  I was so excited to take my first bite.  As I ate my first fork full, I could taste the different flavors of the ingredients and it was amazing.  The crunchiness of the lettuce and corn, along with the juiciness of the chicken, beans, and salsa just made my taste buds thrilled.  Since we were savoring and enjoying our meals so much, we hardly said a word.  It was a nice meal and we were excited we were finally able to eat there for dinner.

My husband has been yammering on about Chipotle for months. He works in Boston several days out of the week, and has their burrito bowls all the time--but since he eats it there, he never wants to eat it when he comes home! AND SO I've never been to Chipotle. (Which may be best, anyway--fast food, and all that.)

Yes, I usually want to eat the bowl as soon as I order it too. I think you should try Chipotle just in case you ever get curious and give it a try. I would love to hear what you think about it. The ingredients are actually healthier since they are brought in from local farms. As they are striving to make their food even healthier, it is one of the healthiest fast food restaurants I know. Here is a link to the ingredients they use and more information on that.
