Appetite for Sweets

A few of my friends and I have decided that we are going to look really good in bikinis for spring break. We plan to go to the beach and bathe in the satisfaction of how good we look. In order to accomplish this, we have decided that we are going to eat less, and work out more. We have entirely cut out sugary and “junk foods” from our diet. We work out every day, and are very aware of the foods we are consuming. Although, this is not the conventional American diet, because while we do not eat foods that a bad for us, we feel that it cannot hurt to look. We visit foodporndaily.com daily. Looking through the pictures of delicious foods gives us the same satisfaction as eating them, without the sugars and saturated, and unsaturated fats.
The first time I visited foodporndaily.com was with one of my friends, and she brought us directly to the pictures of absolutely irresistible foods. We muttered bitter words of despair as we jumped from one picture to the next. The other day, I visited the site on my own to curb the desire to binge on chocolate that my roommate, in a fit of cruel generosity, left on my desk. What I had not realized was that foodporndaily.com is not just pictures of delicious foods, but it is also a resource for recipes for every occasion.

On Superbowl Sunday we told ourselves that that would be the only day that we were allowed to eat snack foods such as chips and popcorn. We decided that if we were going to eat snack foods, we might as well do it right. You will never guess where we went to check out recipes for foods appropriate for the occasion; foodporndaily.com. We found recipes for foods that allowed us to eat what seemed like snack or “junk” food, and maintain our goal: looking good in a bikini for spring break. Although we had a slight lapse in our master plan, we were able to feel satisfaction without completely reversing the work we have put towards our goal.

My friend and I can completely relate to your Spring Break struggle because we too are trying to diet for Spring Break (I'm supposed to be going to the beach with some of the people I graduated with and I want to show off, you know how that works), but it seems like Smith's Dining Services are working against me - rice for dinner almost every night! How can I pass up my favorite side?!
