Once upon a time, as we were wandering back from the kickball game my friends and I decided to boycott the dining halls (at least for the night). Recently, we have been chatting about seceding as a house from the dining plan. Apparently, according to house lore, Parsons Annex used to be a co-op and my friends and I are totally into the idea of returning to that purpose.
We made garlic bread, courtesy of bread from Hungry Ghost Bakery, and angel hair pasta alla Emily. She added sautéed garlic, onions, garbanzo beans and a myriad of happy spices to a marinara sauce. It was a wonderful meal. This is not a rare occurrence in my house. Frequently, if no one loves the options at the dining hall, we will have a breakfast, Thai, Chinese or Italian meal. And luckily, it only costs about two dollars per person. These meals are very important in our house and friend community because dinnertime is when we bond and catch up on our days. I highly recommend one of these nights if you are looking for an anti-dining hall meal.
