When in search of a late night meal, many ladies on campus believe the next best thing to the Campus Center Cafe, is Pizza Amore. Wrong! In my own personal experience, I have never began a meal from Pizza Amore with satisfaction, nor have I ended my meal with satisfaction.
The first time I ate anything from Pizza Amore was at a group function on campus; Pizza Amore seems to be every org or lunch meeting's go to pizza place. The pizza was pan thin with very little sauce and a decent amount of cheese. As a friend of mine said, "its just bread with cheese."
Being the optimistic person that I am, I gave Pizza Amore the benefit of the doubt.. too many times. The next time I had ate a meal from Pizza Amore, was a personal decision. I had ordered boneless buffalo wings with french fries. In my mind I was thinking of beautiful buffalo tenders with the hot sauce baked onto them perfectly with a side of golden shoe string fries. Instead I received fried chicken tenders drizzled with hot sauce and seasoned fries. All I could think was, wow I could of done this myself! And as for the fries, I'm just not a fan of seasoned fries.
Again, another late night of starvation, Pizza Amore was the only place I could think of ordering from. This time I ordered an 8" steak and cheese grinder with fries (ordering fries was a risky decision I decided to take that night). The fries this time wasn't too bad; they weren't seasoned but they also weren't the gold french fries I had dreamed of. The steak and cheese was two tad bits salty (yes two, not one) and the shaved steak wasn't cut too well because there was a few "chunky" pieces.
After a night of party and a weak dinner, food is all I can think of at one in the morning. So, of course again I order from Pizza Amore. This time, I ordered their "Sampler Special: 3 Buffalo Wings, 4 Mozzarella Sticks, 3 Chicken Tenders." In reality, it was a container of boiled and 3 seasoned mini wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, 3 fried chicken tenders, spaghetti sauce, blue cheese and some kind of sweet and sour hot sauce. On the menu in fine print, Pizza Amore said barbecue sauce came with the meal and apparently it didn't (I was really looking forward to the barbecue sauce). The thing I found appetizing that night was the mozzarella stick and the spaghetti sauce.
I have never been satisfied when ordering food from Pizza Amore and I feel I never will. Sad to say but I will never order from Pizza Amore ever again!

I'll give them props for two things. 1: they make their own pita bread, and it's fantastic. Try one of the sandwiches on pita. And 2: the Greek food specialties in the front case are usually pretty good. The spanokopita is quite nice. I think, actually, that that's where the owner's heart is, and the pizza is just a way to pay bills.
Agreeeeeed. I've had Pizza Amore at way too many Smith events than I'd like to remember, and it has never been satisfying.
