Candlelight Dinners

So a couple of days ago, I walked into the dining hall with my younger sister and saw rows and rows of candlelit tables. In a dining hall like King House's, it kind of really looked like something that came straight out of Harry Potter. It was gorgeous.

I know that the dining staff set up a candlelit dinner to attract the prospies, but at the same time... I kind of wish they did it for us! I remember when I first looked into Smith, I was attracted by the fact that there would be "frequent candlelit dinners and even some with professors, etc., etc." I still kind of want that and I couldn't help but think about this when I walked in that day.

Cons to having frequent candle-lit dinners:

  • we're going to have to invest a lot in candles
  • fire hazard

Pros to having frequent candle-lit dinners:

  • a more pleasurable dining experience
  • Harry Potter
What do you guys think?

I say if they'll let us have candles in the dining halls where all the long haired peoples' locks are liable to go up in smoke, that they should let us have them in our rooms. At least in our dorms we might be a bit more conscious about them, right?
