Food in a Mug

While on the popular site StumbleUpon, I found a very interesting article about foods that can be cooked in a mug, similar to Ali’s post on Nutella Mug Cake. However, there were breakfast, dinner, and snack options! As you can guess, the section that appealed to me the most was the dessert section. Each of the 8 foods given look absolutely delicious and while drooling over each picture it occurred to me that this is literally the best idea ever. I know that personally, when I bake at home, anything that exits my oven is guaranteed to go into my mouth within the next three days. When crunching some numbers, I estimated that I usually eat 12 cookies out of a batch of say 30. At about 125 calories per cookie, that’s 1500 calories in just cookies, in only three days! Clearly, my access to the cookies leads to my absurd consumption. It has occurred to me that these desserts in a mug help combat the temptation. With this method, you make enough for one serving and then you’re done. You don’t even have to coax yourself out of having another, because there aren’t any! If this isn’t the greatest idea ever, I don’t know what is.
